I will always remember Mike coaching me while I was beating him at squash! This “teacher” trait was not appreciated by some of his other squash partners, but I found it amusing and endearing.
We, and our families, were friends for over fifty years; and I will miss his cheerful banter. It is a privilege to know someone with such strength of character, that even after being sacked twice from senior positions for sticking to his principles, he never wavered from them.
What a man; What a friend; What a husband and father!
